(jd) An accident occurred on Bünder Straße at around 8.35 p.m. on Saturday (09.08). A 35-year-old from Hiddenhausen was riding his bicycle on the adjacent footpath and cycle path in the direction of Herford. At the same time, a 16-year-old from Herford was riding his bicycle in the opposite direction on the footpath and cycle path. Although the 16-year-old tried to avoid the cyclist, both cyclists collided head-on. The 35-year-old sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
